Tarlaqueño cuisine is well known as a melting pot of the finest in Capampangan, Ilokano, Pangasinense, and Tagalog culinary traditions. Over the years, Tarlac cooking has evolved its own cooking legacy. To celebrate and promote this treasure trove of flavor, the Tarlac Provincial Government, led by its Governor Vic Yap, is launching a home-cooking competition to identify and promote the finest Tarlaqueño cooks and their recipes. As a promotional event, Raman Ning Palaro is envisioned to enhance the popular perception of Tarlac as a host for the 2010 Palarong Pambansa.
